The problem is that you really have to power through those first few chapters. It turns out that Inazuma Eleven has a lopsided difficulty, kind of like Kid Icarus, in that it is insanely hard to figure out and even harder to win matches for several hours, but once you start leveling up and recruiting players and saving up enough Prestige (money) to buy equipment, Inazuma Eleven starts to grow on you. How could this game be getting such rave reviews when it's so fundamentally broken? I hated this game for several days and there were many times where I felt like throwing in the bloody towel.īut then I played it a lot more, out of fear that I was missing some crucial strategy or instruction that was keeping me from actually succeeding in the game. I almost immediately regretted my decision.

You may go into Inazuma Eleven with pre-conceived notions about whether it's going to be your cup of tea or not, or that, based on the near-universal praise it's gotten, that it at least won't be bad.
