The combat is similar to the one developed in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and the Prince can fight up to fifty foes at once. One of the core powers is the abilitiy to freeze water, which means waterfalls are now icy walls that the Prince can climb and access previously unavailable areas. There are four core powers, and then a multitude of minor powers the Prince can purchase from the Djinn Razia. In the Xbox 360, PS3, and Windows version, the Prince has the power to rewind time from the beginning of the game, the newest feature being the development of elemental powers. Gameplay is different based on the console being used. The Prince has to embark on a quest in order to use the ancient power of the Sand in order to save the kingdom from total destruction. The prince journeys to his brother Malik's kingdom only to find the castle under siege by a massive army. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands covers the seven year missing storyline between Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. It follows the story set by Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and will be available on PSP, Nintendo Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and Microsoft Windows.
